The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA) was one of the major player in a British industrial combine, a group of businesses manufacturing military & sporting firearms. They also manufactured most vehicle types such as bicycles, motorbikes, cars, buses

After the Second World War, BSA did not manage its business to the required standard to succeed, and a government-organised group rescued the operation in 1973. This then led to a takeover of such operations as it still owned. The few that survived this process moved into the ownership of other businesses.
